Rosalie Juliet Williams (born 12th June 1919 in Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire; died 11th November 2009 in Trafford) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- Deputy registrar Mrs. Lacey, appearing in both March 1978 and December 1979
- Mrs Rimmer, landlady of Gail Tilsley's bedsit in April 1985
- Corner shop customer Mrs Sowerbutts in August 1991
- A grandmother out shopping at a Manchester toy store in December 1992.
Her other credits included roles in Holly, Crown Court, Flambards, Emmerdale Farm, Second Chance, Juliet Bravo, How We Used to Live, Brookside, Truckers, Soul Music and four series in the Sherlock Holmes strand.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Mr Kettle and Mrs Moon and The Glass Menagerie at the Library Theatre, Manchester.
She was married for fifty-eight years to actor David Scase, who himself appeared on Coronation Street as doctor Robert Lowther. Two of their four children, Annabel Scase and Rory Scase, also appeared on the programme.
