Roger Morlidge (born 1970 in Bolton) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between June 2006 and June 2020 as Mr Griffin, headteacher of Weatherfield High.

After completing a degree in Geography, he decided to apply for drama school and has been a professional actor since.

His other credits include roles in Pie in the Sky, Band of Gold, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Touching Evil, Casualty, The Bill, Born and Bred, Blue Murder, Doc Martin, The Royal, Emmerdale, Downton Abbey, Holby City and Call the Midwife. He also appeared on the big screen in The English Patient, Shakespeare in Love, East is East, Things to Do Before You're 30, Angel and Pride.

On stage he has appeared in productions of Wildfire, Under Milk Wood, Henry V, The Night Heron, Kes, Three Sisters, The Country Wife, The Full Monty and The Two Gentlemen of Verona.
