Roger Bingham is a British actor and director. Trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, on stage he has performed in over eighty amateur productions as well as appearing in several TV and film roles, television commercials and has directed several stage plays since the late 1980s.
He appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- Betting shop owner Billy Featherstone between February and March 1995.
- A Walker on scene when Billy Mayhew slipped over the edge of a cliff in December 2017.
- Bishop Greg Townsend, appearing intermittently between November 2020 and November 2023.
Other TV and film credits include roles in All Creatures Great and Small, Take Me Home, Boon, Mud, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Bernard's Watch, The Last Train, Emmerdale, Peak Practice, Where the Heart Is, The League of Gentlemen, Heartbeat, Midsomer Murders, Doctors, Take Me to Your Leader, Harold's Going Stiff and Dementamania.
His most recent work has been in television commercials on behalf of "Bensons for Beds" and also portrayed Father Christmas in the "Littlewoods" 2012 Christmas advertisement.
His production of Swan Song by Vanessa Brooks won the Sheffield and District Theatre Association Drama Festival at the Library Theatre in June 2010.
