Rodney Litchfield (born 3rd February 1939 in Wigan, died 5th September 2020 also in Wigan) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in August 1988 as Chaz Ferguson, an old acquaintance of Alec Gilroy; and he returned to the programme between January and October 2007 as Wilf Morton, head of the Morton family who moved into 6 Coronation Street at that time.
His other television credits included roles in Brookside, Juliet Bravo, Emmerdale Farm, All Creatures Great and Small, Seaforth, Casualty, Early Doors, The Bill, Shameless, Sunshine, In with the Flynns and My Family.
Film roles included Knights & Emeralds, Testimony, Dancin' Thru the Dark, Pierrepoint, Grow Your Own and The Last British Execution.
