Robin Wentworth (born 20th July 1915 in Edmonton, Middlesex; died 16th August 1997 in Northwood, London) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly between April and June 1961 as detective sergeant Arthur Dewhurst, who had a brief relationship with Elsie Tanner; and he returned to the programme in October 1969 as John Greaves, security officer at Miami Modes.
His other television credits include roles in Francis Storm Investigates, Kipps, Peridot Flight, Probation Officer, Dixon of Dock Green, Z Cars, United!, The Jensen Code, Crossroads, House of Cards and Anglo Saxon Attitudes.
Film roles include Night of the Prowler, Pet Pals, The Blood Beast Terror and Forever Young.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Tsar Lenin, The Merchant of Venice, Reluctant Heroes, Green Room Bag, An Inspector Calls, The Importance of Being Earnest, Great Expectations and King Lear.
