Robert Keegan (born 3rd December 1924 in Liverpool, died 16th January 1988 in Salford) appeared on Coronation Street between June 1972 and January 1973 as handyman Jacko Ford, the father of corner shop assistant Norma Ford.
He also appeared in The Vicar Buys a Car, an episode of the Street spin-off The Brothers McGregor, transmitted in November 1985.
Perhaps best remembered for his role of Sergeant Bob Blackitt in Z Cars and Softly Softly throughout the 1960s, his other television credits included The First Lady, Under and Over, Fly Into Danger, Sykes, Beryl's Lot, Rocky O'Rourke, A Little Bit of Wisdom, Dangerous Knowledge, The Children of the New Forest, Doctor Who, A Kind of Loving, The Hard Word, Emmerdale Farm and Brookside.
Film roles included All the Right Noises, Straw Dogs, Endless Night, The Return of the Soldier, Turtle Diary and Business as Usual.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Cooped Up, Kind Sir, A Christmas Carol, Straw Dogs and Straight Up.
