Robert Calvert appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- Weatherfield General-based Dr Miller, who attended Carmel Finnan in March 1993
- DC Gough, who investigated following the raid on the Rovers in January 2000
- The governor of Redford Prison, who told convicted Angela Harris of her daughter Katy's suicide attempt in April 2005.
He studied Visual and Performing Arts at Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre and followed up in this specialism with a BA from City University London.
His other credits include roles in The Bill, Emmerdale, Always and Everyone, Casualty, Family, EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Derry Girls.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Devil's Disciple, Single Sex, The Winter's Tale, Troilus and Cressida, Subject to Angels, Amadeus and The Wind in the Willows.
