Robert Angell (born 29th December 1958 in Birmingham) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly between July and November 2001 as Alan Rush, transport manager at Weatherfield Windows who gave all his fleet maintenance work to Coronation Street Garage; and he returned to the programme intermittently between February 2019 and February 2023 as the Judge presiding over three trials.

He trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, and credits include roles in Screen Two, London's Burning, The Bill, Boon, Bugs, Cold Feet, Doctors, The Royal, Waterloo Road, Rosamunde Pilcher and Prisoners Wives, as well as a role in the 2007 film Mark of Cain.

On stage, he has appeared in productions of Educating Rita, April in Paris, Perfect Pitch, September in the Rain, Unleashed, Crown Prince, Blue Cross Christmas, The Railway Children, Yorkshire Christmas Carol and Lights Out Landgirls.
