Robert Stephen Mallard (born 19th May 1992 in Manchester) has appeared as Daniel Osbourne in Coronation Street since November 2016. He is the third actor to play the role, replacing Lewis Harney and Dominic Holmes.

Mallard attended weekly drama classes between the ages of 12 and 17 and graduated from the Birmingham School of Acting with a First Class Honours in 2014. His other television credits include No Offence, Emmerdale and Fresh Meat. In February 2017, Mallard came out as gay, and in an interview expressed his concern as how viewers would react to his character falling in love with a female. In mid-2017 he entered a short-lived relationship with co-star Daniel Brocklebank.
