Richard Huw (born "Richard Smallman") appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in June 1994 as reporter Malcolm Eden, who interviewed Jack Duckworth about his alleged affair with Dulcie Froggatt; and he returned to the programme in both May and September 2018 as a judge at Weatherfield Crown Court.

His other credits include roles in The Professionals, The Bill, Inspector Morse, EastEnders, Sleepers, Van der Valk, Casualty, A Likely Lad, Seaforth, The Buccaneers, Rhodes, Wing and a Prayer, Silent Witness, A Certain Justice, Tilly Trotter, Heartbeat, M.I.T.: Murder Investigation Team, Doctors, Holby City, WPC 56, Line of Duty, The Bay and Belgravia.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Sisterly Feelings, Peter Pan, Richard II, This Happy Breed, Measure for Measure, Romeo and Juliet, Quartermaine's Terms and more recently, Calendar Girls - The Musical.
