Richard Elis (born 1975 in Wales) appeared on Coronation Street making intermittent appearances between April 2018 and December 2022 as drama teacher Nigel Kipling, who was a member of the Weatherfield Dramatic Society and friend of Mary Cole.
He has appeared in numerous television, theatre and film productions including Ordinary Lies, Doctors, Casualty and Gwaith/Cartref, and played Huw Edwards on EastEnders in the late 1990s. Films include Songbird, Wild Honey Pie!, Black Mountain Poets, Bittersweet Symphony, In Absentia and Albi a Noa. He also produced the Bafta Cymru nominated film Pink Wall. His theatre credits include 2023, The Dumb Show, Hard Times and Accidental Death of an Anarchist. He has also appeared in numerous advertising campaigns across Europe and the UK ranging from Carnext to Bisto to WKD!
