Redford Prison houses female offenders, either on remand or serving full custodial sentences and is located within the Manchester area.

Deirdre Rachid was sent here when wrongfully convicted of fraud in 1998 and shared a cell with Jackie Dobbs. A few weeks later, Deirdre was proved innocent with all charges against her withdrawn, then released.

Sunita Alahan was sent here in 2004 and framed by Maya Sharma for Marrying illegal immigration.

Tracy Barlow was sent here in 2007 for the murder of Charlie Stubbs she was later found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison but she got released in 2010.

The prison saw another wrongfully locked-up prisoner twelve later in 2010 when Gail McIntyre was sent here for "killing" her husband Joe McIntyre, who in reality accidentally killed himself while trying to fake his own death in Lake Windermere. Later sharing a cell with Tracy Barlow - who made a deal with the police to get a reduced sentence if she successfully got a confession out of Gail. Despite Tracy's efforts, Gail was found not guilty of murder and released.

Kirsty Soames was sent here in 2013 for lying about Tyrone Dobbs abusing her when she was actually Abusing him and Kirsty Confessed in Court to be the Abuser and that Ruby would be safe with Tyrone, Tyrone went to Visit her in prison Kirsty told Tyrone that she will get help before he leaves Tyrone tells Kirsty that she will always be Ruby's mum.
