Ray Burnside appeared in three roles in Coronation Street:
- in October 1984 as a Carpet Trader on Weatherfield Market who had a stall alongside Jack Duckworth and Fred Gee's short-lived shirt stall.
- in November 1990 as Bob Chadwick, the father of troublesome Kabin paperboy Nigel Chadwick.
- in April 1992 as kitchen fitter Mr Lomax.
He also appeared in Between the Lines, The Brittas Empire, Screen Two, The Bill, The Governor, Hillsborough, Silent Witness, Dangerfield, Strange But True? and Brookside.
Stage work includes Good Golly Miss Molly, Talent and Lennon.
