Ray Ashcroft (born 28th June 1952 in Sheffield) appeared on Coronation Street as Tim Gibbs in May and December 1978. He returned to the programme in April 1986 as Steve Holt, the ex-fiancé of Gloria Todd.

Since then he has continued to act, appearing in The Bill as D.S. Geoff Daly and in Emmerdale as Ronnie Marsden.
