Rachel Ambler (born 1963 in York) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between September 1982 and July 1984 as Gill Collins, a friend of Sharon Gaskell.
Her other credits include roles in How We Used to Live, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Practice, New Voices, Crime Story, Harry, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Pure Wickedness, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and Always and Everyone, along with the regular role of Emma Nightingale in Emmerdale from 1995 to 1996 and 2004.
She is the sister of actress, Alison Ambler.
