Poppy Jhakra (born 1984 in West Yorkshire) is a British actress who played Minnie Chandra in Coronation Street between November 2008 and October 2009.
Completing a three year course at Rose Bruford College in 2005, she has made appearances in Holby City, Waking the Dead, Doctors, Inn Mates, Bride and Gloom and Waterloo Road.
Jhakra starred in a one-woman show entitled Dance Without Movement, depicting the journey of a young Asian woman's life in England. Over Christmas 2009, she also performed as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin (produced by Bill Kenwright) at the Theatre Royal, Windsor.
