The Police Officer and his colleagues were on duty to man the tape cordon when the Underworld factory roof collapsed in March 2019 and rescue operations had to be carefully conducted.
After the emergency services had completed what they thought was their task, Rana Habeeb rang her fiancee Kate Connor and alerted her to the fact that she was trapped in the factory's demolished office. As the TRU Officers went back in, Rana's brother Imran demanded to know of the officer who she had been missed and he replied with honesty that they didn't know that she was there, but they were now doing everything they could to get her out. When it became clear that Rana was unlikely to survive a second collapse that had badly injured her, Kate demanded to cross the cordon but the policeman refused her urgent request. Imran duly diverted his attention so that Kate could enter. After she had, the officer warned the others that they would be arrested if they tried something similar.
