Phillip Schofield

Phillip Schofield (born 1st April 1962) is a television presenter formerly employed at ITV, who is most recognised for presenting the lifestyle programme This Morning from 2002 to 2023.

Schofield rose to prominence as a Children's BBC continuity presenter on the Broom Cupboard from 1985 to 1987, appearing with his mischievous sidekick Gordon The Gopher. He later hosted Going Live! from 1987 to 1993. After leaving the BBC and joining ITV, Schofield went on to present a wide range of programmes, including This Morning (2002–2023), Dancing on Ice (20062014, 2018–2023), All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015, 20202021), and Text Santa (2011-2015). He also hosted The British Soap Awards from 2006 to 2022, and played the leading roles in the musicals Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Doctor Dolittle.

Schofield made a cameo appearance as himself on Coronation Street along with his former This Morning co-presenter Holly Willoughby in June 2018, when they interviewed Rosie Webster, Craig Tinker and Gemma Winter in their role in a drugs bust at Underworld.

During his tenure as the host of The British Soap Awards, Schofield awarded Coronation Street with numerous awards, including several Best British Soap awards.
