Philippa Gail (born 16th August 1942 in Bishop's Stortford, died 25th July 1999 in Okeford Fitzpaine, Dorset) appeared on Coronation Street in December 1968 as Josephine Hepworth, the wife of a friend of Ken Barlow's.

She trained at the Webber-Douglas theatre school and also appeared in Jezabel ex UK, Triangle, The Troubleshooters, Sexton Blake and A Fatal Inversion.

On stage, she appeared in rep in Ilford, Cheltenham and Chesterfield and also appeared in Twelfth Night, The Fighting Cock, Hobson's Choice, Pygmalion and Little Eyolf, all to critical acclaim. She went on to teach drama at the Eugene O'Neill Centre and South Florida University before her death from cancer at the age of 56.

She was married to actor David Conville, who himself appeared on Coronation Street in February 1966.
