Phil Taylor (born 13th August 1960 in Stoke-on-Trent) is a professional darts player. Between 1995 and 2002, he was named the World Champion for a record 8 consecutive times, a title which he eventually lost to John Part in January 2003 final.
Phil made an uncredited appearance on Coronation Street in February 2009 as darts player Disco Dave.
He is now retired.
