Peter Temple appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in May 1990 as Rodney Whitworth, a friend of Flick Khan from Manchester Polytechnic who outstayed his welcome at 7 Coronation Street; and he returned to the programme as bank manager Josh Reynolds, seen by Don Brennan in July 1996 with a request to extend his business loan, and also seen by Jack Duckworth in June of the following year for a loan after receiving a £17,650 VAT bill.

His other credits include roles in Freddie and Max, Grafters, Grange Hill, The Bill, EastEnders, Doctors, Casualty and The Hour, while on stage he has appeared in productions of The House of Stairs, Othello, Blithe Spirit, Ying Tong, Bedroom Farce and The Lady in the Van.
