Peter Plummer directed 35 episodes of Coronation Street from May 1963 to November 1964, returning for two blocks of episodes in October 1974 and February 1975. His other credits include The Verdict Is Yours, The Villains, Crown Court, The Man in Room 17 and its spin-off The Fellows .
He returned to a connection with Coronation Street when he made a 45-minute programme entitled Yesterday's Dust, Tomorrow's Dreams in early 1982 which was screened to coincide with the opening of the 1982 Outdoor Set on 5th May that year. The programme showed the old and new sets and featured Doris Speed.
