Peter Parker was an Environmental Health Officer working for Weatherfield Council who called at 6 Coronation Street to investigate the chicken coop Sharif Nazir had built in his back garden. Sharif initially thought the visit was an April fool's joke but he was pleased when Mr Parker gave the arrangements his full approval, saying it was the "Four Seasons of poultry hospitality" and "the Hilton of hen-based habitation". Sharif suddenly remembered where he had heard the man's name before, recognising it as the Spider-Man character. Having established a rapport with the man, Sharif tried to find out who had reported the coop but Yasmeen Nazir had already guessed that it was next-door neighbour Sally Metcalfe who had complained vociferously about the presence of the chickens in the back garden.
