Peter John Dennis (born 25th October 1933 in Dorking, Surrey; died 18th April 2009 in California, United States of America) appeared on Coronation Street in November 1974 and April 1975 as businessman Marcus Berlin in the Mark Brittain Warehouse group (the role was previously played by Stanley Lebor in the character's June 1971 appearance).

He trained as an accountant and surveyor after finishing education at the age of fourteen. Having been called up for national service in the British Army, he served in Nigeria from 1952 to 1958. Returning to civilian life, he worked as a PA before enrolling at RADA. He graduated in 1965.

His other credits included roles in Police Patrol, Hadleigh, Crown Court, Minder, C.A.T.S. Eyes, All in Good Faith, Vote for Them and EastEnders. Following his move to the United States, he also appeared in Santa Barbara, Star Trek: Voyager and ER.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Henry VIII, Troilus and Cressida, Titus Andronicus, Crack in the Ice and The Life of Galileo for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre Company. Other works include The Promise, The School for Scandal, Present Laughter, The Rivals, Hotel Paradiso and Dangerous Corner.
