Paul Andrew Simpson (born 1972 in Blackburn) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly intermittently between May 1988 and February 1989 as Jason Stubbs, teenage son of Rovers' cleaner, Sandra Stubbs; and he returned to the programme between October and November 2005 as Nick Clayton, son of the thuggish Jimmy.
His other credits include roles in Rockliffe's Folly, Heartbeat, Prime Suspect 5: Errors of Judgement, Dalziel and Pascoe, The Cops, Queer as Folk, Cold Feet, Wire in the Blood, The Royal, The Ghost Squad, The Street, The Chase, The Innocence Project, Casualty, Moving On, Accused and the 2011 short film entitled Photoshopping.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Snow Queen and And Did Those Feet for the Octagon Theatre, Bolton.
He co-directed a short film entitled Blackburn in 2010 and has also worked in drama with a whole variety of different schools across England.
