Paul Seed (born 18th September 1947 in Bideford, Devon) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between November 1979 and January 1981 as Father Harris of St Boniface Church, Lower Broughton.

His other credits included roles in Pretenders, The Double Dealers, Doctor Who, Secret Army and Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected.

On stage, he appeared in productions of After Haggerty, Norman, Is That You?, Bright Scene Fading, A Flea in Her Ear, The Merchant of Venice, The Birthday Party, Love's Labour's Lost, Absurd Person Singular, Hamlet, The Birdwatcher and Confusions.

He quit acting in the early 1980s and went on to become a successful director for television programmes such as House of Cards, A Touch of Frost, Playing the Field, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, New Tricks, Lark Rise to Candleford, Doc Martin and Blandings.
