Paul Opacic (born "Pavle Opacic" on 14th February 1966 in Halifax) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between April 2021 and September 2024 as Stefan Brent, the father of Corey.
A former member of The Workshop Youth Theatre in his home town, he graduated from the Drama Studio London.
Best known for his roles as Steve Marchant in Emmerdale, Mark Waddle in Bad Girls and Carl Costello in Hollyoaks and its spin-off Hollyoaks Later, his other credits include roles in Only Fools and Horses, Sam Saturday, All in the Game, Heartbeat, Doctors, Peak Practice, The Bill, Holby City, Totally Frank, The Chase, Waterloo Road and The Moorside, along with the 2009 film Salvage.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Comedy of Errors, The Mysterious Mr Love, Write Me a Murder, Night Fright, Rita, Sue & Bob Too, The Memory of Water, The Business of Murder, Gallowglass and The Verdict.
