Paul Gabriel appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- Model agency boss John Fisher in November 1995
- Market trader Phil Sutton, appearing intermittently between April and September 1999
- DC Dave Brett, appearing between November 2002 and March 2003, investigating the crimes of Richard Hillman
- A police officer who formally interviewed John Stape following his arrest in December 2009.
He graduated from RADA in 1979.
His other credits include roles in How We Used to Live, Emmerdale Farm, The Contract, Poirot, Making Out, Heartbeat, Cardiac Arrest, Common As Muck, The Courtroom, Cold Blood, Waterloo Road, The Street, The Royal, Boy Meets Girl and Blue Murder.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Fur Coat and No Knickers, An Inspector Calls, Spider's Web and Last Tango in Whitby.
