Paul Courtenay Hyu (born in 1968) is an actor who, on Coronation Street played an unnamed Doctor in June 2008 and July 2009; returning to the programme as doctor Philip Shen in April 2012.

Paul grew up in North Yorkshire, one of three children of an English mother and Chinese Guyanese father, but when he was ten his dad decided to move to Germany. He went with them for a year, then he was sent back to Harrogate where he went to boarding school.

Other TV and film credits include roles in Doctor at the Top, An Actor's Life for Me, The Blackheath Poisonings, One Foot in the Grave, Smith & Jones, Night Watch, Bugs, The First 9½ Weeks, Everybody Loves Sunshine, Clocking Off, Trial & Retribution, Casualty, The Missing Chink, Dead Fish, Funland, Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, EastEnders, Identity, Not Going Out and Keith Lemon: The Film.

On stage, he starred alongside Malcolm Hebden in the original production of Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis at Bolton's Octagon Theatre in 1999.
