Paul Bown (born 11th October 1957 in Fenton, Staffordshire) appeared in Coronation Street from November to December 2019 as Richard Lucas, the half-brother of Roy Cropper and father of Nina Lucas.
He is best known for playing the lead role of Malcolm Stoneway in the Granada Television comedy Watching (written by Jim Hitchmough) from 1987 to 1993 but he has also appeared in Mr Bean, Last of the Summer Wine, The Last Salute, Merseybeat, Born and Bred, The Courtroom, Heartbeat, The Bill, The Green Green Grass, New Tricks, My Family, Holby City, Casualty, Endeavour, Doctors, Hollyoaks, Bancroft and Belgravia.
Film roles include Morons from Outer Space, The Assam Garden, Butterfly Kiss, Jude, Young Blades, The Damned United, The Carer, The Arbiter and Peterloo.
Stage roles include When We Are Married, Round and Round the Garden, The Pope and the Witch, Neville's Island, It's Not the End of the World, No Way to Treat a Lady, On The Piste, The Alchemist and The Ladykillers.
