Paul was an estate agent at Ellis Cooke who was appointed to lease 14a Victoria Street in February 2002. Following the death of owner Duggie Ferguson, he showed Janice and Toyah Battersby round the flat and advised that for the part-furnished property, the rent would be £400 per month (plus bills), and stated that they could move in as soon as Janice had signed the tenancy agreement and paid the deposit.

Stella Price, plagued by bad memories of her former partner Karl Munro, decided to put the Rovers Return Inn on the market in September 2013 and having showed Paul around the premises, was given a valuation somewhere in the region of £150,000. Firm in her decision, they met in Roy's Rolls the following day when it was established that the "For Sale" sign had been erected and Paul confirmed that the property details had also been listed on the company's website.

The cafe itself and the flat above were where Paul next visited in December 2016 when proprietor Roy Cropper was determined to move away from Weatherfield following his aborted wedding to Cathy Matthews. Paul ran into Brian Packham and Tyrone Dobbs outside the establishment and introduced himself, but unexpectedly felt the wrath of Brian's tongue in a case of mistaken identity. Inside the flat, Paul informed Roy that although there was no guarantee of a quick sale, there was an option to rent but in the event, Roy was talked out of the proceedings by his longstanding friends and decided to stay put.

Finally, Paul's services were required again in February 2017 when he showed Adam Barlow and Todd Grimshaw around 10 Victoria Street, a residential property which they intended to utilise the upstairs space in order to set up Barlow Legal Services.

Credited as "Estate Agent" in all six appearances, the character's forename was given in dialogue in Episode 9056 (14th December 2016).
