The Paramedic was one of the emergency crews who were deployed to Coronation Street in December 2010 when it was rocked by an explosion from The Joinery bar, followed by a derailed tram from the wrecked viaduct. A badly injured Peter Barlow was one of the people trapped in the bar but Nick Tilsley and Ashley Peacock managed to get him out to the rescue service, although Ashley lost his life in the process. The Paramedic rushed him to Weatherfield General and handed him over to the casualty staff.
The paramedic later appeared on the scene in January 2012 when Tyrone Dobbs, Tina McIntyre and Kirsty Soames were involved in a car crash, and again in April of the same year when Audrey Roberts suffered a heart attack in her salon, brought on by an ongoing feud over the ownership of the business with grandson David Platt and his wife Kylie. Five months later, he collected Kirsty from the back room of the Rovers after she had gone into sudden labour following an altercation with Tina and had given birth of Ruby Dobbs.
After Karl Munro deliberately started a fire in the Rovers' cellar in March 2013, the paramedic was in attendance with several other emergency service colleagues to initially treat the casualties.
The paramedic and a female colleague were deployed to the scene to treat David Platt and a critically injured Nick Tilsley in August of the same year when their vehicle slewed across the road and into the path of an oncoming lorry. The incident occurred following the revelation that Nick slept with David's wife Kylie on Christmas Day, 2012. Returning back to Weatherfield in the bistro's van, an angry David grabbed the steering wheel off Nick, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. David was checked over at the scene whilst an unconscious Nick was rushed to Weatherfield General - having to be resuscitated on the journey.
- Credited as just "Paramedic" on his first appearance, he was credited as "Paramedic 1" in error on his second appearance as another of an identical name (played by Tara Moran) had already appeared further up the list in the same episode.
