Pamela Hillman was the mother of Richard Hillman.
When Richard was still young his father walked out on him and his mother and never returned. His father's exit from their lives meant that years later, when Pamela developed a mental illness, Richard would have to look after her. Richard's first wife Marion separated with him as she couldn't deal with the amount of care Pamela required. Pamela later died at some point prior to 1997.
