Ollie Deacon was a member of a far-right extremist group led by Griff Reynolds who began grooming Max Turner in late 2022.
Ollie was in attendance at a gig with Dave Fairchild and Reece Bolton when Griff - accompanied by Spider Nugent and Peter Barlow - introduced Peter to his mates. Things turned sour though when Peter took issue with the band's racist lyrics before getting into a fight with Ollie and the gang.
Over the next few weeks, Ollie befriended sixteen-year old Max and welcomed him into the gang.
Griff, Spider, Dave, Reece and Ollie were all involved in the brutal attack on Daryan Zahawi, following a shift at Speed Daal; an attack which Ollie recorded on his phone for Griff to use to push his far-right agenda online.
Within the gang, Ollie was the youngest and seemingly most impressionable. He was often the butt of the jokes and submissive to Griff's demands.
