Olivier Pierre (born 19th October 1953 in Washington DC, United States of America; died 29th May 2003 in Ille-et-Vilaine, France) appeared on Coronation Street in both August 1994 and April 1995 as Valery Picot, Mayor of Charleville.

The majority of his career was spent in the UK.

His other television credits included roles in Tales of the Unexpected, Whoops Apocalypse, Month of the Doctors, Lytton's Diary, If Tomorrow Comes, A Quiet Conspiracy, Till We Meet Again, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, French Fields, May to December, Wish Me Luck, Selling Hitler, Love Hurts, Sharpe, Where the Heart Is and Murder in Mind.

Film roles included Dracula and Son, Quadrophenia, The Long Good Friday, Victor/Victoria, Firefox, The Sender, Nutcracker, The Lonely Lady, Morons from Outer Space, Dreamchild, Shadey, Ping Pong, White Mischief, Little Dorrit and Incognito.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The Government Inspector, Pravda, Hamlet and Splendid Isolation for the National Theatre. Other works included Macbeth, My Three Angels, The Little Black Book, An Absolute Turkey and The Magistrate.
