Olivia Jardith appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in March 1992 as Olive Oaks, who suffered a heart attack within a lift at Weatherfield General; and she returned to the programme in July 2003 as a woman bystander outside St. Christopher's Church, who witnessed the newly-married Peter and Shelley Barlow leave the building for photographs.

She founded the Olivia Jardith School of Speech and Drama in Swan Street, Manchester in the 1950s and turned to acting in later life, specialising in playing elderly "little old lady" roles.

Her other credits include roles in Emmerdale Farm, September Song, Cracker, All Quiet on the Preston Front, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Wokenwell, Casualty, City Central, Cold Feet, Always and Everyone, Heartbeat, Ted and Alice, The League of Gentlemen, Fat Friends, The Royal, Where the Heart Is, Little Britain, Hollyoaks, Twisted Tales and The Chase.
