Nurse (Episode 11319)

The Nurse dealt with Toyah Habeeb when she was being treated for ovarian cancer in 2024. She had just been diagnosed and was upset by the attitude of her sister Leanne Battersby who had been sucked into the alternative mental therapies of the cultish Altovalent Institute and who wanted to discuss "positivity" with her rather than support Toyah on her own terms. She therefore went to see the nurse by herself. The nurse ascertained that Toyah was a widow, saying that it was important that she had a support network, but her patient sadly told her that she was pretty much on her own. She was therefore delighted to see Leanne's partner Nick Tilsley waiting for her outside the treatment room, even though the two were dealing with their feelings of guilt having had a fling through their mutual frustration with Leanne's Institute obsession.
