Nottingham is a city in the East Midlands of England.
In 1962, Nellie Fairclough moved to Nottingham with her son Stanley after separating from her husband Len. After divorcing Len, she marries insurance agent Harry Bailey. Following Nellie's death from lung cancer in 1964, Harry offers Len the chance for Stanley to live with him, but Len decides to let Stanley remain in Nottingham.
