Niven Boyd (22nd November 1954 - 28th January 2001) appeared on Coronation Street in December 1997, January, May and June 1998 as Paul Fisher, owner of the amusement arcade where Judy Mallett was employed.
His other credits included roles in Strangers, Mitch, Dempsey and Makepeace, The Singing Detective, Casualty, Birds of a Feather, El C.I.D., Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Where the Heart Is and The Bill, along with films Out of Africa, Sid and Nancy, Cry Freedom, The Fruit Machine, Malevolence, Chicago Joe and the Showgirl, Secret Friends, Let Him Have It, Afraid of the Dark and Jack & Sarah.
On stage he appeared in productions of Blood 'n' Kisses, Hamlet, The Shoemaker's Holiday, Jungle Music, A Map of the World and Funny Peculiar.
He died of a heart attack on 28th January 2001, aged 46.
