Nightingale Terrace was a thoroughfare comprising terraced houses located in Weatherfield, east of Coronation Street and was the home of Harry Flagg between 2002 and 2004.
By 2008, many of the houses had fallen into disrepair when property developer Tony Gordon bought up the site in August of that year with the intention of having the row of terraces demolished and new luxury flats built. Pensioner Jed Stone - the occupant of No.23 - was determined to stay in his own house, despite Tony's threats to have him evicted. Following an altercation between the two men, Jed suffered a minor stroke and collapsed in the hallway of his home. He was admitted to Weatherfield General and Tony instructed Jason Grimshaw and Tyrone Dobbs to clear and board up the pensioner's house.
Despite managing to successfully evict all the residents, Tony's redevelopment plans were put on hold due to the recession, and the abandoned terrace remained intact.
