Nigel Betts (born 15th October 1963 in Howden, East Yorkshire) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Mr Weir, a Community Service Enforcement Officer who in February 2000 was assigned to ensure that Les Battersby carried out his community service sentence; and he returned to the programme in July 2007 as agency chef Eddie, who was drafted in temporarily to help out at Valandro's.
His other credits include roles in Jekyll & Hyde, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Pie in the Sky, Paradise Heights, A Touch of Frost, Grease Monkeys, EastEnders, Silent Witness, Grange Hill, Emmerdale, The Bill, Downton Abbey, Doctors and Holby City. On stage he appeared in Stephen Mallatratt's stage adaptation of The Turn of the Screw and Richard Hurford's play Bedevilled at the York Theatre Royal.
