Nicholas Zabel appeared on Coronation Street in March 2001 as Darren Michaels, a short-term boyfriend of Candice Stowe. Zabel took over the role from Bruno Langley, who played the character in August 2000 but had been cast in the regular role of Todd Grimshaw at the beginning of 2001.
His only other known credit was for a 2004 episode of No Angels.
Following a change of career, he has been employed as a lecturer in Digital Media & Journalism at Salford City College since September 2011.
