Neville Barber (born 1st March 1931 in Barton-upon-Irwell, Lancashire, died 21st March 2002 in Pitlochry, Perth, Scotland) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in July 1961 as garage owner Phil Marsden; and he returned to the programme in February 1964 as Amalgamated Steel loader Ronnie.
These were but two roles in a long career which included parts in many famous television programmes such as Crossroads, Dixon of Dock Green, Jason King, Doctor Who, The Onedin Line, Special Branch, Upstairs, Downstairs, The Duchess of Duke Street, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Grange Hill and Rumpole of the Bailey.
On stage, he appeared in productions including Much Ado About Nothing, A Voyage Round My Father, The Mousetrap, Hamlet, Anyone for Denis?, In Praise of Love and Amadeus.
