Helen Marie Therese "Nell" Brennan (born 1943 in Glasgow) appeared on Coronation Street in March 1973 as Sister McKinley, one of the medical staff at Weatherfield General who treated Albert Tatlock when he was gassed by a newly-installed cooker at No.1.
Her other television credits include roles in The Revenue Men, The Borderers, Adam Smith, Six Days of Justice, Z Cars, Angels, Crossroads, Takin' Over the Asylum and Taggart.
On radio, she was heard in The Take-away Man, Doctor Finlay's Casebook, Lord Peter Wimsey, Would the Last Businessman..., The Senior Partner, Joke by Joke, Saturday-Night Theatre and co-wrote Know Your Place and devised Pull the Other One!
She also appeared in a 1972 stage production of Ring Round the Moon for the Library Theatre Company, Manchester.
