Neil Boorman appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in September 1970 as the traumatised John Hill; and he returned to the programme between January and February 1999 as Gerald Lickley, owner of Weatherfield Vale old folks home.
His other credits include roles in The Practice, Lost Empires, The Bill, Heartbeat, Doctors, Dalziel and Pascoe and Wallander.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Stirrings in Sheffield on Saturday Night, Calamity Jane, Siamese Twins, Archangels Don't Play Pinball, The Rose Tattoo, The Dice House and A Voyage Round My Father.
