Murray Taylor was born in Rochdale and after school served in the Royal Navy for twelve years. He then trained as an actor at the Manchester Metropolitan University School of Theatre and his stage roles include Bursting, For Love or Money?, Cordovan Spark, The Winterling and The Inconsistent Whisper of Insanity.
In October 2010 and May 2018, he appeared in Coronation Street as a Van Driver.
