Mrs Protheroe was a customer at Audrey's salon in April 2017.
Mrs Protheroe irritated David Platt as she could not hear out of one of her ears and shouted at him due to being unaware of how loud she was speaking. Mrs Protheroe's ears also caused confusion between the pair; and when David told her she was going under the dryer, she shouted back that she was fine with the magazine she was reading.
When Sarah Platt arrived at the salon, David said that he was pleased to see her as Audrey's broken wrist and Mrs Protheroe's ears made him think he was in a veterans' hospital ward.
