Mrs Katz was an elderly lady who was a regular customer at Audrey's. In February 2016, stylist David Platt was struggling to cope on his own as Audrey Roberts was recovering from an angina attack and Maria Connor was in Cyprus looking after her mother Dot after she broke her hip. David was working on dyeing Beth Sutherland's hair as Mrs Katz, sat between two other old ladies, asked how much longer they were to be kept waiting. They listened with interest when Gail Rodwell called in to discuss the children's tea and asked Mrs Katz how her sick sister was. David angrily asked his mother why she was disturbing him, seemingly unable to cope with rustling up a meal for the children, and earned her a look of disapproval from the old ladies who themselves seemed to find her wanting and incapable.

Although the character had two lines of dialogue, she was uncredited and therefore the actress playing her is unknown.
