Moor Lane was a residential street located in Oakhill, an affluent area of Weatherfield. In the early 1960s, it consisted of newly-built luxury flats and former Coronation Street resident Esther Hayes lived at Number 96 there from 1962 to 1963.
In April 2006, Rovers' landlady Liz McDonald was furious when she found out from Lloyd Mullaney that her partner Vernon Tomlin and barmaid Michelle Connor had gone to a flat on Moor Lane. Already suspicious about the nature of their relationship, Liz followed them to No.25 expecting the worst, only to discover that the empty property was up for let and Michelle was showing Vernon round.
