Mike Hayward (born 1947 in Abertillery, Wales), appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in September 1975 as Vince Denton, the lover of Janet Barlow (although upon the character's return in March 1977, he was portrayed by Constantin de Goguel); and he returned to the programme as Mr Williams - owner of the Happy Days Holiday Park - where the Websters, Platts and Battersbys holidayed in 1999.

Having originally trained to teach maths, he decided to move into acting and gained a place at RADA but chose to begin working immediately due to lack of funds.

His other television credits include roles in Crown Court, The Bill, The Fourth Floor, The Real Eddy English, Tiger Bay, EastEnders, High Hopes, Doctors and in the regular role of Alun Morgan in Take the High Road from 1990 to 1995.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Lorna Doone, Canterbury Tales, Botticelli, The Force, The Marriage of Figaro, Fixtures, Hard Slog, The Party, Men's Talk, Three Sisters, Love's Labour's Lost, Henry V and Antony and Cleopatra.
